Apple Cider Donuts (Regular & GF/Vegan)
Both of these apple cider donuts are insanely delicious. They are made with simple ingredients, and only a few steps! I wanted to make two different kinds so that anyone and everyone can enjoy these delicious donuts. The first recipe is made with regular flour and butter, and the second is gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either one.
What you’ll need:
To make these Apple Cider Donuts, you’ll just need a few simple ingredients and a donut pan!
Ingredients (regular):
- all-purpose flour
- apple cider
- brown sugar
- egg
- butter
- milk, of choice
- cinnamon
- vanilla extract
- baking powder
- baking soda
- sugar
Ingredients (gf/vegan):
- oat flour
- apple cider
- applesauce
- brown sugar
- vegan butter
- milk, of choice
- cinnamon
- vanilla extract
- baking powder
- sugar
How to Make:
- This recipe is so simple! First, simmer apple cider in a covered pan until it reduces to 1/2 cup. Then, all you’ll have to do is cream together the butter and sugar (or butter, sugar and egg in the regular one) and add the other wet ingredients. Finally mix in flour, baking powder/soda and cinnamon. Pour dough evenly into donut pans (I recommend silicone donut pans like these $9 ones on Amazon). Bake, let cool, then dip in melted (vegan or regular) butter and cinnamon sugar mixture.
